Section 05 — retire-global-engine-and-acceptance

Goal

Retire the global engine and prove the functional mission end-to-end on a real consumer (the plan-wide acceptance gate).

Implementation Sketch

Run the new shim against a real consumer (upstat or oriterm); the consumer ends up with a COMPLETE, correctly-converted harness. harness_dist verify on the consumer reports 0 unclassified / 0 undefined-marker failures / 0 conflict markers in universal+adapted, and the consumer’s own test-all/lint exits 0. Only then retire the global ~/.claude/ engine.

Work Items

  • End-to-end: run the new shim against a real consumer (upstat/oriterm) and inspect the resulting harness for completeness + correct conversion.
  • Confirm harness_dist verify on the consumer reports 0 unclassified, 0 undefined-marker render failures, 0 conflict markers in universal+adapted.
  • Confirm the consumer’s own test-all/lint exits 0 after the sync.
  • Retire the global ~/.claude/skills/sync-from-orilang engine; update sync-from-orilang-design.md to point at scripts/harness_dist/.
  • Doc sweep: design-log §6 + /sync-claude pass so the new architecture is the documented one.

  • Assert the one-way-distribution invariant on the shipped engine: confirm harness_dist refuses to run inside ori_lang (engine self-guard) and that the consumer’s universal+adapted base layer is read-only downstream (a re-sync does not clobber local consumer work). This pins the mission’s ‘engine refuses to run inside ori_lang’ + ‘base layer is read-only downstream so that loop never clobbers local work’ guards as part of terminal acceptance.
